Trailer Hitch and Brake Controller for 2019 Ram 1500 Classic Towing 4,000 lb Trailer

Question:

I purchased a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic with no hitch. We have a 4000lb travel trailer, about 4500lbs fully loaded down. Will this hitch be suitable for towing that? I already have an equalizer system to go on it,just no hitch. Also, the truck already has the 4 pin and 7 pin connections. Anything else I need?

The etrailer hitch part # e98852 is a confirmed fit for your 2019 Ram 1500 Classic that does not have a factory hitch and has more than enough towing capacity so it would work great to tow a 4,000 lb travel trailer. Since you already have a weight distribution system and wiring the only other thing you'd want is a brake controller to activate the brakes of your trailer to help stop the trailer.

For that the Brake EVN # TK63VR would be a really great option and would only require the install harness part # 3024-P which plugs in under the dash.
