Installation Of Square Drop Leg A-Frame Jack On Coupler With Round Hole
Question:
This information for this jack says that it will fit any standard a-frame coupler, yet it lists the tubing width of 2-1/4 The hole size on my a-frame coupler is right around 2-3/8inch in diameter, which means a 2-1/4inch square tube will not fit through it without modifying the coupler from a round hole to a square hole. Is the measurement given in the specification sections actually referring to the diagonal measurement of the tube?

The drop leg jacks that we offer have square tubing. You mentioned that the round hole you have on your coupler is 2-3/8 inches diameter. The tubing on the Bulldog Square, A-Frame Jack, part # BD195318 you referenced measures 3 inches diagonally. you would have to modify the hole in your coupler to make this jack fit.
We do offer a Bulldog Round, A-Frame Jack, part # BD155032. This has a capacity of 5000 lbs and has a 2-1/4 inch outer tube diameter. I would then recommend the Bulldog Detachable Footplate, part # BD018564. I have linked you to an installation video for this jack.
