What Replacement 4-Way Plug do You Recommend to Work with My Trailer?

Question:

Hi - we are looking to replace my trailers 4 pin connector after weathering/wear. There is a strange 6 wire setup with my trailer. The 4-flat connector is coming from that whole set of wires out of the trailer. The 4-flat has eroded away and needs to be replaced, but as far as I know the rest of the wiring is still fine. Ideally, I’d just be able to unplug the 4-flat at all of those connected spots further up the wire and plug a new one on but am unfamiliar with this setup. See attached photos.

We definitely have the replacement you need! The most common reason for the 6-wire setup you have with your 4-way pictured is if you link the trailer's clearance lights with the turn signals. However, whatever the case my be, you should use the same wiring setup with the current plug and attach the Wesbar 4-Pole Flat Connector w/ Jacketed Cable - Trailer End # W787264.
