Mounting 60 Crossbars on My 2017 Honda Pilot with Flush Factory Rails

Question:

Hello, I have 2017 Honda Pilot EX-L no NAV with flush factory roof rails. Is it possible to fit a roof rack system with 60 crossbars?

Yes, it is definitely possible. For a 60" crossbar system on your flush rails on your 2017 Honda Pilot, you need the following parts:

- Yakima JetStream Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 60" Long # Y00426
- SkyLine Towers for Yakima Crossbars - Fixed Mounting Points, Flush Rails, and Track Systems # Y53TR
- Landing Pad 19 for Yakima SkyLine and Control Towers - Qty 4 # Y00245
- Yakima Same-Key Lock Cores # Y07204

As far as fitment, there will be no issues with this system fitting your vehicle. With the JetStream Crossbars, you receive an extremely aerodynamic system that ultimately leads to a quieter ride and higher fuel efficiency. The rack provides you with 165 pounds of maximum weight capacity. As with all roof racks, I recommend consulting with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure that your roof can handle the amount of weight you wish to transport.

The only caution with this length of crossbars is to make sure that the crossbars do not extend past the passenger-side mirrors. One way you can confirm for sure is by measuring your mirrors from left to right. If that measurement is at least 60", you are good to go. The reason why this is important is because having longer crossbars than your mirrors is illegal in some municipalities. Also, it is extremely dangerous.
