Expert Reply:

The lug nut torque will depend of the diameter of your wheel studs and the construction of your wheels.

• For a steel wheel and a 1/2 inch stud, torque the lug nut to 90-120 foot lbs
• For a steel wheel and a 9/16 inch stud, torque to 120-140 foot lbs
• For an aluminum wheel and a 1/2 inch stud, torque to 90-100 foot lbs
• For an aluminum wheel and a 9/16 inch stud, torque to 120-140 foot lbs

It's recommended that you check the torque after traveling 50 miles, then periodically after that.
