Replacement Gas Detector for an Atwood Series 2001 LP Gas Detector

Question:

I have an Atwood Series 2001 LP Gas Detector. The green light blinks every 8 seconds. The test switch works OK. Is the green light supposed to blink, or stay on constantly? Is there a direct replacement you recommend? Thanks

I tried finding information on the blinking green light on your Atwood Series 2001 LP Gas Detector but was unable to find anything that mentioned a blinking green light. The Atwood Series 2001 LP Gas Detector you have is no longer available which is likely why it was difficult to find information.

The Atwood Series 2001 LP Gas Detector does have a life cycle of 7 years +/- 128 days. This starts once the detector is first started up. If you believe you are close to or passed that 7 year mark it would be a good idea to replace your detector.

We do have the RV Propane Gas Detector # RS44FR (for black) and the # RS64FR (for white). This detector works directly off of your RV or camper battery and has a universal mounting bracket to allow it to retrofit to 90% of all surface and flush-mount detectors.
