Class V Trailer Hitch with 2 Inch Receiver for a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with 6-1/2 Foot Bed
Question:
For a Chevy 2008 2500 HD DuraMax 6 1/2 bed Crew Cab. I ordered this hitch from someone. It didnt bolt up, no way. OK made a bad mistake, now tell me what hitch I need. Curt says this will fit but the picture looks just like the one I got from that other place. Im trying to make this right but Im not sure what to order. I do want a class V hitch but with a 2 in receiver.

Curt trailer hitch # C15302 is listed as a fit for your 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD with the 6-1/2 foot bed. What may have occurred with your other hitch is a flexing issue. Sometimes in the shipping process a hitch can get flexed.
I have included a link to the installation instructions for these hitches for you and a link to a video showing installation for the Draw-Tite hitch. I also recommend etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK2416. It comes with a ball mount, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. If your truck does not already have trailer wiring you can use # HM40975 to add some. I have linked a video showing a typical installation for you.
