Recommend Parts To Flat Tow A 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ

Question:

I have a 2020 Coachman motor home with the Mercedes’ sprinter chassis and I want to flat tow a 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ. It’s loaded weight is 4,100 lbs. Can you tell me what I need tow bar, base plate, wiring and braking system and everything to tow it. Thanks

When it comes to setting up your 1995 Jeep Wrangler to flat tow behind your Mercedes Sprinter you will need the following:

Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX1137

Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates - RV Mount - 8K # RM-677

Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154

Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700

Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400

High Low Adapter # RM-076

The Blue Ox Base Plate has a Custom designed to fit your Jeep Wrangler so it can be safely towed behind your RV, this base plate has easily removable arms that offer a seamless look when you're not flat towing. Base plate bolts directly to your chassis, so no welding is required.

The Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terain Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates is designed for use with Blue Ox base plates. LEDs line the arms for maximum visibility. A large hookup radius and hassle-free latches make it easy to connect and release. Safety cables and wiring included.

The Roadmaster InvisiBrake Braking System actuator box installs permanently so that you never have to remove, adjust or reactivate. System connects to RV and engages car brakes when the RV brake lights illuminate. The braking system activates the brakes on the towed vehicle when you engage the brakes in your RV. The Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit is required to prevent the towed vehicle's brake signal from overriding the turn signal from the RV when applying the brakes during a turn.
