Trailer Hitch Receiver and Wiring Recommendation for a 2011 Audi Q5
Question:
I have a 2011 audi q5 and am looking for a trailer hitch. I really only need a class I hitch its just for a bike rack but all I am seeing are Class III. Do you offer a Class 1 for this vehicle? Thanks

Expert Reply:
I recommend installing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75940 on your 2011 Audi Q5. Since the Curt # C13136 will require Stabilizing Straps # 18050, and I do not see that any manufacturer offers a class I receiver for your Audi.
If your current bike rack only fits a 1-1/4" class I/II receiver please let me know which bike rack you have and I will see if we have an adapter that fits your specific rack.
I do recommend installing the Upgraded Heavy Duty ModuLite Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT with the receiver. This will allow you to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 in the event that bike rack or bikes impair the view of your tail lights.
