Hub Rotor and Disc Brake Replacement For A Saltwater Boat Trailer
Question:
I need to replace my Hub/Rotor and new brakes on my Saltwater boat trailer. I use Bearing, Race and Seal Information Bearings Inner bearing: 25580 Outer bearing: 15123 Races included Inner race: 25520 Outer race: 15245 and Seal 1-3/4: 22333. I need set up to fit Axle capacity: 5,200 lbs - 6,000 lbs #42 Spindle Wheel size: 15inch and larger Bolt pattern: 6 on 5-1/2 Rotor diameter: 12 Brake flange configuration: is 4 on my trailer vs the 5 listed in specs. What set up do you recommend or will this fit my trailer? I just replaced an old hub with KHR12D/Kodiak 12, 6 on 5-1/2, but my brakes are broken and will not fit with the Kodiak so I am attempting to find something to replace everything. Thank in advance.

When it comes to replacing your Hub/Rotor and Brakes on your saltwater boat trailer I recommend The Kodiak Disc Brake Kit - 12 inch Hub/Rotor - 6 on 5-1/2 - Dacromet/KodaGuard - 5,200 to 6,000 pounds # K2HR526DKG.
This trailer disc brake kit includes two corrosion-resistant, Dacromet-plated hub-and-rotor assemblies, calipers, and mounting brackets. The dacromet coating provides superior corrosion resistance for freshwater or saltwater use, and has a 300 to 400 hour salt-spray rating.
The cast iron calipers are self-adjusting which provides a smooth, and equal braking experience. This conversion kit does require a 5 bolt mounting flange so if you do not currently have a 5 bolt flange welded onto your axle you will need to use the Redline Brake Mounting Flange # 4-44-1.
The inner bearing # 25580 and the outer bearing # 15123 and the seal # RG06-070 are sold separately. The races are included. Wheel studs are included but lug nuts are sold separately.
