Question:

I have question re king pin preliminary info . I have a 2021 GMV 2500 HD diesel with air lift 7500 xl air bags in it mounted is Bw companion puck system model 3775 slider hitch rated 20,000 trlr 5,000 tongue I have a 2020 Jayco northpoint rated gvw 16,500 that i am trading in . This has a Morryde king pin rated 18,000 GVW . part Rpb72-1621hd the new camper is Keystone montana 362 rd gvw 16,000 it has a Road armor trail air pivot head rotoflex . rated at 19,000 gvw. I concerned on the ride comparison on these 2 .king pins The dealer said the rotflex as good as the morryde. maybe better because of higher gvw . He did offer to swap if I pd the labor approx 1 hr estimate . He also said it may void my structural warranty on the camper . I checking with Keystone on that as they use both king pins systems , Can you advise in your side by side comparsion or rating o what king pins is better for this application ? Pros and Cons . Thanks

Helpful Expert Reply:

The ride quality between the MORryde and the Rotaflex pin boxes are about equal. I did some digging and the Keystone owners seem to mostly like both of them about the same. Some people preferred one over the other but in general I would say you aren't going to see a huge difference. One thing that was mentioned with the Rotaflex was that it squeaks a bit though.
