What Gray Glossy Cargo Box do You Recommend?

Is the Malone grey/silver 16cf cargo box gloss or a matte finish? Im wanting a gloss finish but description says it’s matte, but all the reviews including your video is gloss..?

Great question! I went ahead and called my tech at Malone, and he confirmed that the Malone Cargo16 Box # MPG902 is a matte gray color. It is not a gloss gray.

Even though that is the case, we do carry some gloss gray options. For those, I recommend the Thule Motion XT Rooftop Cargo Box - 16 cu ft - Titan Glossy # TH629707 or the Malone Cargo12 Rooftop Cargo Box - 12 cu ft - High Gloss Gray # MPG901. It is important to note that the Thule Motion XT requires 23-5/8" - 36-7/8" of crossbar spread while the Cargo12 requires 25" - 27" of crossbar spread in order to work. Also, as far as attachment, the Motion XT fits crossbars no larger than 3-1/2" wide x 1-11/16" tall while the Cargo12 fits crossbars between 1" and 3" wide x 3/4" and 1-3/8" tall. With all of these requirements, I recommend measuring your setup to make sure your roof rack fits these parameters.
