Recommendation of Tow Ready T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118498 For 2011 Toyota Sienna
Question:
I want to double check on this part because I have had 2 U-Haul after market harnesses fail for this model year. The dealer has a stop saleinch on their dealer harness and will not even sell me one because of issues and thus far 2 harnesses from U-Haul have malfunctioned for me. The inline power converter box malfunctions. NAPA does not list a harness for after 2009. Have you had any compatibility issues with this harness specifically with 2011 Toyota Sienna? Thanks for your help! Also, is there any warranty on the part after installation?

Since you said that there are issues with the harnesses you purchased, and if the converter is bad on the harness you have, you will need to replace the harness with a suitable replacement. Make sure the wiring on the vehicle is operating correctly and there are no issues that would cause problems with adding a harness for your trailer.
A short in the wiring on a trailer can cause issues, so you then need to check the trailer connector and make certain it is not damaged. Check the wiring on the trailer to see if there are any broken, or damaged wires. Also check the wiring at the lights to make sure there are no issues with connections or damage to the wires. I have linked you to an FAQ article for troubleshooting and also an FAQ article that shows trailer wiring. I would suggest using a wire circuit tester like part # PTW2993, to test the connector.
After you have the trailer wire issues resolved, I would recommend the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring for the Toyota Sienna, part # 118498. I have linked you to an FAQ article that shows how to run the power wire for a trailer wiring harness. I have also linked you to an installation video for this harness on a 2011 Toyota Sienna.
Having too many lights installed can draw too many amps and cause issues as well. If that is the case I might suggest you replace some of the lights with LEDs. I have linked you to our product page for LED trailer lights.
Concerning the warranty, Curt has a 1 year limited warranty.
