Using 50 Amp Power Watchdog Surge Protector With 30 Amp Service

Question:

My TT is 50 Amps, sometimes campgrounds we stay at only have or only have available with sites with 30 amps. Can I use this 50 amp SP with a 30 amp service in the line to my trailer? Will it still protect my unit using only a 30 amp service or would i need a separate 30 amp SP for it to protect properly?

You want to match your surge protector to the rating of your TT's service for preventing damage to your electrical system from power spikes.
