How To Tow A Trailer With A 4-Way Using A Motorcycle With Separate Wiring

My vehicle has 5 wires,brake wire,two turn signals and a running lights wire My trailer is 4 wire flat, two combination turn and brake wire and one running lights wire.How do I get them to mate?

Your 2008 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic Anniversary uses a 5 flat because motorcycles have turn signals on different circuits/bulbs than the brake lights. Since your trailer has combined turn signals and brake lights on the same circuit, I recommend The Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 119178, which will combine the separate circuits on the bike to the output side of the connector.. This wiring harness adapts to your Harley with separate turn and stop lights to a standard trailer tail light wiring system. This will also have short circuit protection that safeguards itself and the tow vehicle against harmful electrical shorts and mis-wire situations.
