How Can I Mount My Dirt Bike Between My Tow Vehicle and Trailer?
Question:
Hi, I have a 2021 F350 Super Duty. I tow a relatively light Aspen Trail 19ft trailer. I want to know if there is hitch extender that also has a motorcycle ramp on it. So I want to be able to carry my dirt bike in between my tuck and trailer. My dirt bike weighs 250#. Thank you!

While we do not have a hitch extender that has a ramp integrated in it, we do have a dual-hitch adapter that allows you to mount a dirk bike carrier simultaneously with your Aspen trailer.
Depending on the coupler type you have, I recommend the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver
# MPG544 or the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2" Receiver for Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers - 7,500 lbs # D210. It is important to note that the Roadmaster dual hitch adapter reduces your F-350's hitch by 50%. Also, if you do not use both the ball mount and the hitch receiver of the Curt Multipurpose ball mount, you reduce the F-350's hitch by 50%. The Multipurpose receiver will not have the 50% reduction if both are used at the same time.
Another thing you need to consider is the distance you have between the rear of the F-350 and the trailer. The # RM-077-6 measures 10-1/2 inches from pinhole to pinhole while the # D210 adapter measures 12-1/2 inches from the shank's pinhole to the ball mount.
For the dirt bike carrier, I recommend the Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp - 77" Long # UF48-979033. This carrier comes with a 500 pound maximum weight capacity and has an integrated ramp. From the center of the shank's pinhole to the outside edge of the carrier, it measures 31-1/2". It is important to factor in this length with the adapter length in order to get an accurate minimum clearance needed between your truck and the trailer. It is also important to note that if you use the # RM-077-6 or the # D210, the angle of the ramp angle will be steeper due to the fact that you will be mounting the carrier higher off the ground.
For straps to secure your bike, I recommend the Erickson Winder Ratchet Straps with S Hooks # EM57JR.
