The B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs item # BWGNRK1320 you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 2020 Ram 2500 without the OEM prep package. The turnover ball system does work with the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch item # BWRVK3500-5W. This system will work great but you will need a rotating pin box like the Reese Sidewinder. Without the rotating pin box you will not have the clearance for towing without hitting your Ramboxes.

In order to lock the kingpin from moving in the Companion hitch you will need the 5th Airborne Custom Wedge for B&W Fifth Wheels item # SWW-06. This wedge is designed specifically for the B&W 5th wheel hitches to work with the Sidewinder pin box. The Wedge prevents the pivot at the fifth-wheel hitch jaws so only the pin box rotates.

The B&W Companion weighs over 150 lbs. If that's not something you're interested in moving by yourself and don't want to have to rely on someone to help you then I recommend purchasing the B&W 5th Wheel Lifting Device for Companion and Patriot Hitches item # BWRVXA3130. This heavy duty steel tool lets you lift your B&W 5th-wheel hitch from your truck bed with a hoist. The 5th-Wheel jaws clamp around the device for a secure grip.

Don't forget your lube plate. The Lube Plate for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 10" Diameter item # RP83002 will prevent scratches on your fifth-wheel's skid plate and ease trailer hookup.
