Recommended Locking Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin For The etrailer 24x60 Cargo Carrier
Question:
This is a follow up question for Kevin who has been very helpful....Hi Kevin, just a follow up question please...how would code# SHP2040-XL compare to this code#e99047 to help with cargo carrier e98874. Which one would work best to prevent bouncing with a scooter on the hitch carrier..... Also can I use hitch stabilizer code#e9907 together with these locking pins for extra help to prevent bouncing? Thank you for all your help...

The spring and block in on the XL Anti-Rattle Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # SHP2040-XL requires a hollow shank, as it will sit inside of the shank to add extra tension on the hitch pin to keep it from rattling. Since the 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # e98874 already has a weld nut inside of the shank to accept the included anti-rattle hitch pin you would most likely have enough room to use the spring and block, defeating the purpose of this hitch pin's design. This hasn't been tested though, so I can't confirm that it wouldn't fit.
The Threaded Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin Lock for etrailer Cargo Carriers # e99047 is going to be the better option in this scenario. You will be able to use the etrailer Anti-Rattle Hitch Stabilizer for 2" Hitches # e99007 in conjunction with the # e99047.
