Measurements of TrailAir 5th Wheel King Pin Box Rated for 21,000 Pounds # LC158778

Question:

I have a Lippert 1621 extended hitch pin box on a 2012 Heartland Big Horn. I would like to replace it with a Trail Air box. I have a Pace Edwards roll top cover on my truck so I need to check the installed length measurement of the Trail Air box to make sure I have proper space between the bed rails for turning. I need the measurement from the center of the king pin to either set of bolt holes. Thanks for your help!

I went out to our warehouse and measured the TrailAir Ride 5th Wheel King Pin box # LC158778, and the distance from the center of the kingpin to the center of the first hole is 19-1/2 inches and the holes are 7-7/8 inches apart, center to center. This makes the second set of bolt holes 27-3/8 inches from the center of the king pin.

I have confirmed with my technical contact at TrailAir and you will be using the existing hardware that is already on your Lippert 1621 pin box and this replacement pin box has compatible holes for this hardware. There is no hardware included with the pin box.

This pin box is intended to mount and be dimensionally the same as your existing Lippert 1621 pin box, so if you have hauled your 5th wheel trailer with your truck with the roll top rails installed the replacement Ultra-Fab Trail Air Ride will not interfere with the rails.

I have included a photo showing these dimensions for your reference.
