I have a great solution for you. Unfortunately, I confirmed with Yakima that the Yakima EXO SwingBase # Y34VR that is included in the Yakima EXO Swing Away Carrier System # Y72VR is only produced to swing on the passenger's side of the vehicle. There are no models that swing to the driver's side.

However, if you are looking for a driver's side option with a cargo carrier, I recommend using the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender for Bike Racks - 2" Hitches # PVD20B. This model of the Pivot 2 has the driver's-side swinging ability you are looking for. Also, you can attach a cargo carrier to the extender. For a great cargo carrier, I recommend the 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # e98874. Not only does the etrailer carrier include a 500-pound maximum weight capacity, it comes with a shank that only measures 9-1/2" from the center of the pinhole to the closest edge of the basket. This length is much shorter than many of our other cargo carriers, which decreases the potential for scraping/bottoming-out if you travel on roads with steep angles. For a theft-deterring anti-rattle hitch lock, I recommend the # e99047. For straps to secure your cargo, the etrailer Cam Buckle Straps # E98876-4 will work perfectly.

It is important to note that using the # PVD20B decreases the overall weight capacity of your hitch receiver by 50%.
