Can Equal-i-zer 12K Weight Distribution System Be Upgraded to 16K

Question:

I have one of these set ups. I cant read the exact one that I have. I believe its the 1200lbs 12000 gvw model. Im looking to buy a new toy hauler and dont know if this set up I have now would be ok for my new toy hauler. The new toy haulers info is.... weighing uvw 8808 lbs, 1412 dry hitch, gvwr is 12,800 lbs ?

The highest rated Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System is part # EQ64FR which is rated for 1,600 lbs of tongue weight. Unfortunately, you can't upgrade from another system to this capacity as the capacity comes from the head and not just the spring bars. Therefore, for your new trailer you will need to purchase an entire new system but you should still be able to sell your old one to offset some of the costs.

I can't recommend using an underrated system as that would be unsafe and void any warranty present.
