Is The Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center # PD4135K A Converter And Inverter
Question:
Does the PD4135KWBV unit include both converter AND inverter to support, charging batteries, powering AC and DC appliances and outlets 110, 12v, USB off of a shore power plug-in? ... Or do I also need some additional component to wire-up a small tear trailer for electricity?

The Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center # PD4135K is going to allow you to power your DC appliances off of shore power but will not invert the power from DC to AC when not hooked up to shore power so you will need a separate inverter if you plan on running appliances off of just your battery (i.e. boondocking).
The size of the inverter you need will vary depending on the amount of wattage you need to power the appliances. This means you would need to add up the amount of wattage the appliances you plan of running would require and add an extra 20% to get the correct sized inverter.
Another thing you'll need to consider is the type of inverter; Pure Sine Wave or Modified Sine Wave. Pure Sine Wave is designed for sensitive electronics like your tv and smart phones while Modified Sine Wave is meant for less sensitive items like your water pump.
An inverter like the Go Power Industrial Pure Sine Wave Inverter # 34278156 is going to allow you to run your sensitive electronics safely and has a high wattage that will most likely handle your needs.
