I have a brake solution for you. For flat-towing your 2004 Suzuki Grand Vitara, you need a supplemental towing braking system instead of a brake controller. With that being said, a great supplemental braking system is the Brake Buddy Classic 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39494. The Brake Buddy Classic 3 is a system that applies the brakes of your Grand Vitara in proportion to the braking action in your RV. It is also super easy to position, adjust, and remove from the vehicle. In order to use the Brake Buddy Classic 3, you also need the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400 to keeps the Grand Vitara's brake signal from overriding the turn signal sent by your RV.
As with all flat-towing applications, I strongly recommend confirming with your owner's manual to see guidelines are recommended for flat-towing your vehicle.
