Using a Demco Hijacker in a 2021 Ram 2500

Question:

I have a 2021 ram 2500 and I am having the puck system installed since I could not find a truck with that on a lot. I ordered the demco 8550022 from another site sorry and I may have misunderstood about the bed rail definition. I thought it would be under the bedside so my folding tonneau cover would cover it when not in use. Can I still use demco 6099 with this product so I can maintain a factory look?

The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550022 that you purchased is designed to work with Demco UMS custom underbed mounting kits which are custom fit for specific vehicles. The Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter # DM6099 you mentioned drops into the Ram prep package puck system and then provides you with industry standard mounting points, which the # DM8550022 does not use. So no, you would not be able to use the # DM8550022 in the # DM6099.

If the puck system you are getting in your 2021 Ram 2500 is the Ram prep package then you would need the # DM6099 adapter and the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # DM8550034 which does fit industry standard rails. One other way would be to use the Replacement Side Plates for Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # DM6003. The # DM6003 would replace the side plates on your # DM8550022, which would then allow you to use the # DM6099 adapter.

I also recommend adding the Demco 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness # DM8555002 if that isn't already being added. The # DM8555002 will allow you to move a 7-way connector into the bed of your truck while retaining use of the 7-way at the rear of your truck. This will allow you to hook up your 5th wheel easier and is typical of a factory prep package.
