B&W Companion Replacement Base for Ford Prep Package

Question:

I have a companion 5th wheel hitch, BW. It has a square shaft that slides down in my truck. My new 2022 f-350 has a round hole for my goose neck, do they make a shaft to replace the square shaft that’s n the 5th wheel mounting base of the companion to a round that will fit int my truck ? Thanks

I have a solution for you but you are going to need to replace the base of your B&W Companion 5th Wheel Hitch so it can fit in the OEM towing package on your new 2022 Ford F-350 Super Duty. The square shaft you are referring to only fits in B&W's turnover ball system and you can not adapt it.

If you have a slider you will need the Replacement Slider Base for B&W OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Ford Towing Prep Package - 20K item # BWRVB3370.

If you have the 20k Companion you will want the Replacement Base for B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ford Super Duty item # BWRVB3300.

If you have the 25k Companion you will want the Replacement Base for B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ford Super Duty - 25,000 lbs item # BWRVB3305.

The B&W Companion weighs over 150-250 lbs depending on which base you have. If that's not something you're interested in moving by yourself and don't want to have to rely on someone to help you then I recommend purchasing the B&W 5th Wheel Lifting Device for Companion and Patriot Hitches item # BWRVXA3130. This heavy duty steel tool lets you lift your B&W 5th-wheel hitch from your truck bed with a hoist. The 5th-Wheel jaws clamp around the device for a secure grip.

Don't forget your lube plate. The Lube Plate for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 10" Diameter item # RP83002 will prevent scratches on your fifth-wheel's skid plate and ease trailer hookup.
