Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver and Wiring for Towing With 2022 Lexus RX 350

Question:

I need a hitch and wiring for a trailer. I have a 2022 Lexus RX 350 but as it is right now I can't do any towing so I need to add these ASAP.

For towing with your 2022 Lexus RX 350 I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C73DR. This is a custom-fit Class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It also has a concealed cross tube so only the receiver will be visible at the back of your vehicle. It has a maximum gross trailer weight of 3,500 lbs and tongue weight of 525 lbs for your towing needs. It can also be used with weight distribution and increase the gross trailer weight to 4000 lbs.

For wiring, I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # 56083 if you have the tow package. If you do not, you will need to use a universal wiring harness like the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT. Both will provide you with a 4-way connection to power your trailer's signal lights.

In order to complete your towing setup you will also need a ball mount. Check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
