Adapter to Haul 5th Wheel Trailer with Western Hauler Conversion Flatbed Truck

Question:

2002 ford f450 with western hauler conversion flat bed My question is the height from the gooseneck ball to the bottom of the king pin plate is only 9 inches. The trailer is level but the truck is about a 1/4 bubble high on the 12 inch level so if truck was completely level it would probably be 10 inches. Would the height of this product work with my truck? Also the bottom of the king pin plate is enclosed so how would it be attached since i cant get to the inside to bolt it up? Thanks

If using the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter w/ Offset # CAB-C5GX1216 gets you within 2" of being level you'll be just fine to use this for your application.

I've never heard of an enclosed king pin plate for a 5th wheel trailer but the long and short of it is that this adapter is a universal fit so you may need to get creative if you have a different kind of king pin box installed on your 5th wheel trailer.

If you don't think the Convert-A-Ball will fit and you have enough room in your Western Hauler Flatbed you might be able to use the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # DM8550045 which has a minimum height of 15-1/2" so you would need to adjust the pin box some if you can. The base on this measures 28" long x 30-1/2" wide so you will also need to make sure the footprint will work depending on the design of your flatbed.

Let me know if neither of these options seem like they will work and I can see if we have anything else that might work.
