Attachment Points of the Curt Roof Mount Cargo Basket # C18115 of a 2011 Hyundai Elantra
Question:
From the picture, it looks like the top of the u-bolt and hand knobs intrude into the cargo area, i.e., are above the floor of the basket. I see that on other baskets e.g. by Rola, the knobs, when tightened, are below the level of the basket floor. Are the attachment bracket hand knobs on the Curt basket above the basket floor?

Yes, as you can see in the larger picture, I have the attachment point noted which shows the bolts are located inside the cargo area.
If you are looking for a cargo basket for your 2011 Hyundai Elantra that is free from attachment intrusion in the basket, check out the Yakima LoadWarrior # Y07070. In the video I have attached of a 2013 Elantra installation you can see that the attachment points are on the far corners of the rack and do not interfere with any cargo loaded in the basket.
This basket is rated to hold 140-lbs; however, you will need to check your owners manual to see what your 2011 Hyundai Elantra is rated and load to the lower rating. I have the installation directions attached.
