Recommended Bike Rack with Ramp for 60 lb e-Bike
Question:
I have a RockyMounts Backstage 2 rack that I bought from you. I love it all but lifting my 60lb e-bike onto it. Is there such thing as a ramp that would work for this rack? Thanks for any assistance.

We have a few bike rack options that can be used with a ramp, but at this time (February 2022) RockyMounts doesn't have any kind of ramp solution to help make loading heavier e-Bikes any easier. For your application I recommend picking up the Kuat Pivot 2 # PVP20B as the swinging base section and then using one of the following bike racks:
The Kuat NV 2.0 Base Bike Rack # BA22B with the Access Ramp # ANVBRB gives you the same style of platform rack as your RockyMounts BackStage # RKY10002 since it uses hooks that secure the bike by the wheels. When you combine it with the Kuat Pivot 2 it creates the same rack just with some nicer features like being able to remove the rack if you ever don't need to use the Pivot 2, a foot lever for the tilt/fold features, and the ability to adjust the rear wheel straps along the tray. I've attached a video of myself showing this system installed on a RAV4 for you to reference.
Another option that can be used with the Kuat Pivot 2 is the Yakima OnRamp # Y36FR. This includes a ramp so it will be a little more cost-effective, but it secures the bikes using a clamp for the bike frame so you'll want to use a frame protector # TH984101 for bikes with a sensitive frame, and it comes with a cable lock so you need part # Y07235 to lock the bike rack itself.
Both bike racks are great alternatives to the BackStage that allow you to use a ramp. I've attached some review videos for you to check out as well.
