Is The Plug-N-Tow (R) Wiring Harness # 40185 Compatible With a 2008 Ford F-150 XL No Tow Package

I have a basic 2008 Ford f150 XL 4.2 L. Im installing a towing hitch. Will the Plug-N-Tow R Vehicle Wiring Harness Item # 40185 work for my truck. Theres no tow package on the truck currently.
