Troubleshooting No Power on Curt Echo When Plugged Into 7-Way on 2012 Honda Odyssey

Question:

I have a 2012 Honda Odyssey Touring. I have purchased the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Item # 118521, Dual-Output Electrical Adapter Adds 7-Way RV Blade to 4-Way Flat #57672 and the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 2 Axles - Proportional. Followed your videos 4 times and the brake controller never comes on. What am I doing wrong? I have measured the voltage and with the key on I get 12 volts on a pin in the adapter. How do I check the Echo? Your videos are great and easy to follow.

It sounds like your Curt Echo # C51180 is not working after installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118521 and the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter # C57672. Assuming that is correct, you will be lacking the 12V power.

More than likely the power reading came from a pin associated with the 4-way and the trailer lights. In addition to the wiring harness and adapter you would also need to add additional wiring or the only functions you will have on your 7-way adapter will be the 4-way functions. You can use the Wiring Kit for 2, 4, 6, and 8 Brake Electric Trailer Brake Controllers # 5506 to add the additional functions to your 7-way connection.

I have attached an installation video for your reference.
