Can Truck Tailgate Be Lowered with etrailer Brand e98874 Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier Installed
Question:
#1 When the rack is not folded, and has no gear in it, will the tail gate of my 2013 Toyota Tacoma be able to be lowered and not touch the top of the rack? #2 When the rack is folded, do you know if it will interfere with the rear camera of my 2013 Toyota Tacoma? #3 Will the lock e98880 work with this carrier?

I couldn't say for certain if you'd be able to lower the tailgate without contacting the top of the # e98874 etrailer brand cargo carrier, but you can take a quick measurement to find out.
The top edge of the rail that runs around the perimeter of the # e98874 cargo carrier sits about 8-1/2 inches above the top inside edge of your hitch receiver, so just put your tape measure against the top inside edge of the receiver tube and measure upward by 8-1/2 inches. This will give you a good idea where the top edge of the top rail of the carrier will sit.
The back up camera assembly is mounted in the bezel for the tailgate handle. When the carrier is folded into the upward position, the carrier will physically block the camera but because the floor of the carrier is constructed of wire mesh, you'll still have some visibility but it will be reduced.
The hitch pin hole in the shank of the # e98874 cargo carrier has a threaded insert so it'll work with a threaded hitch pin lock like the # e99047. The # e98880 lock won't work.
