Recommended Trailer Hitch For A 2022 Toyota Sienna

Question:

Hi, I want to get a hitch installed on my 2022 Toyota Sienna and am debating between the Curt and Draw-Tite. I see that the Draw-Tite is rated up to 4500 pounds so its higher than the Curt, but according to my owners manual I can tow 3500 pounds. Confused. Please help.

When looking at hitch capacities, you will always be limited by the lowest rated component. In this case that will be your 2022 Toyota Sienna and you never want to tow more than your owner's manual recommends. So even with the Draw-Tite # DT55MR being rated up to 4,500 pounds towing, it will be limited to 3,500 pounds. With that said, I actually prefer the Curt # C22UR over the Draw-Tite hitch. This is purely down to aesthetics though. The Curt looks a little less obtrusive in my opinion and I included pictures of each hitch installed on a 2021 Sienna for reference.

You didn't mention what you will be using the hitch for, but as it sounds like you were going to be towing, you will also need some wiring. For this, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK69FR. This is a quick and easy plug and play installation and I have found the Tekonsha harnesses to be the best ones we currently carry, so it is highly recommended.
