How Do I Reinstall My Rhino-Rack For A 2012 Toyota RAV-4 After A Car Wash

Hello, I have the above installed on my Toyota rav 2012 and wish to briefly remove so I can take my daughter through the drive through car wash thanks to another witty episode of bluey can you advise. Many Thanks

This Rhino-Rack was installed on a naked roof, which means there are no flush rails, raised rails, or fixed points. This rack has to be installed in a specific spot on the roof for it to be installed safely. It clamps to the frame of your 2012 Toyota RAV-4. You will have to reinstall this rack after you get your vehicle washed, but the setup has already been completed. Your rack that consists of the following items:

Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars - Naked Roofs or Fixed Mounting Points - Qty 4, part # RRRLKVA, and the
Custom DK Fit Kit for 4 Rhino-Rack 2500 Series Roof Rack Legs - Naked Roof, part # DK043,

has already been assembled. My recommendation would be to do the following.

1.Open all four doors of your vehicle and place some sort of tape at the front edge of each clamp. Doing this will let you know where the front and rear crossbars need to be placed when you are reinstalling your roof rack.

2. Make sure you get something that will stick to your vehicle just in case some water gets under your door.

3. Make sure your crossbars have some mark indicating which crossbar is the front crossbar and which crossbar is the rear.

4. Remove your crossbars from your vehicle and get your car washed.

5. Reinstall the roof rack using the tape as a guide for clamp placement.
