The Mopar 68321424AB wiring harness has been required in the past but that it no longer something that is needed on newer Jeep Cherokees, including your 2021 model. A complete flat towing system includes a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you don't already have those parts then I have the following recommendations:

etrailer Base Plate Kit - Part # e98951 for Trailhawk or part # e98953 for non-Trailhawk models (must not have the tow hooks)
etrailer SD Tow Bar with Safety Cables - # e34ZR
Wiring Kit - # RM-15267
Charge Line Kit - # RM-156-25
Braking System - # SM99251 (motorhome hydraulic brakes) or # SM99243 (motorhome air brakes)

To determine whether or not you need a high-low adapter I'm linking our helpful article on the subject as well as a link to our selection of adapters. I'm also attaching some installation videos for you to reference.

Please note that some models do use Mortorq® fasteners so a PFMTS2E bit is needed to remove them. This can be ordered through a Snap-On dealer.
