Will The Curt Receiver # C13144 Allow The Thule Helium Bike Rack # TH44VR To Fold On 2016 Forester
Question:
Specifically I want to know if the 4 inch clearance in shown the video will allow me to fold up my Thule Helium bike rack in a stored position? If not what hitch would fit best?

Yes, you will be able to fold up your Thule Helium Bike Rack # TH44VR on your 2016 Subaru Forester with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13144 installed.
When we had the Curt Receiver # C13144 installed on a 2016 Forester in our facility we measured the hitch pin center hole to the rearmost part of the bumper to be 4".
The Thule Helium # TH44VR has a measurement of 5" from the hitch pin center hole to the closest point on the carrier when folded up. This will leave you with 1" between your closest points of the carrier and rear bumper.
Be sure to install a Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467 on your Forester so that you will be able to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 in the event your bikes impair the clear view of the tail lights on your Forester.
