Will Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN Brake Controller Work With 2020 Nissan Pathfinder

Question:

Trying to make sure this brake controller will work for my 2020 Nissan pathfinder SL AWD. Pulling a 2021 Primetime Avenger LT 17bhs. If you would recommend another controller please let me know. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

It sure will! You'll need the plug-in adapter, but the BRAKE-EVN will 100 percent work with your 2020 Nissan Pathfinder, and allow you to pull your travel trailer. The exact parts you need are the following:

- Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN Trailer Brake Controller # TK63VR

- Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers # 3050-P

If you have a working 7-way already on your '20 Pathfinder you're set, and don't need anything else. If you do not have a 7-way you can add one very simply with the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118273.

This will work even if you didn't get the tow package option on your Pathfinder, as they all have the plug to connect the 7-way.

As far as a different controller, the # TK63VR is exactly what I would recommend. I really like it because it offers the best overall value for a brake controller. Your trailer braking will be at a power proportional to that of your Pathfinder so it will be smoother than other controllers; it is also easy to use and has a nice LED display that's simple to read, so you made a really nice choice.
