The Rhino Rack Vortex Aero roof rack setup for your 2016 Toyota Highlander will depend on what's currently on the roof. The roof rack would attach to fixed mounting points that are preexisting on the roof, but the actual length of the crossbar, the mounting feet and the fit kit will differ between vehicles with the bare roof and those equipped with the rails that run fore/aft along the edges of the roof.

If you have the roof rails, you'd need the following:

• Vortex Aero 54 inch crossbars # RRVA137B-2
• RCL Leg Kit, part # RRRCL4
• Fit Kit for Fixed Mounting Points, part # RRRCP31-BK

According to Rhino Rack, because vehicles with the roof rails have the fixed points too far apart for the # RRVA126B-2 49 inch bars to work.

If you have the bare roof, you can use the 49 inch bars. You'd need the following parts:

• Vortex Aero 49 inch crossbars # RRVA126B-2
• RCH Leg Kit, part # RRRCH4
• Fixed Point Fit Kit, part # RRRCP37-BK
