Base Plate Adapters For A Ready Brute Elite II Tow Bar On A 2015 Jeep Wrangler

I plan to purchase a RM-521448-5 for a 2015 Jeep wrangler sport. What do I need to connect this baseplate to a Ready Brake Elite II tow bar. Thanks.

Roadmaster does not currently have an adapter to make their base plates compatible with your Ready Brute Elite II tow bar, but Blue Ox does. Since the Roadmaster # RM-521448-5 base plate is for standard factory bumpers I'll assume that's what you have. If this is the case then you would need the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1126 along with the Blue Ox Base Plate Adapter Brackets for Ready Brute Elite Tow Bars # BX88297 to complete the connection.

To flat tow your 2015 Jeep Wrangler you'll also need a tow bar wiring kit and safety cables. If you haven't already purchased these items then I have the following recommendations for you:

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit allows you to use your Jeep Wrangler's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV.

Safety Cables: RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643. The coiled design of these cables will help prevent them from dragging on the ground and being damaged.

You may also require a high/low adapter to keep your tow bar level between the motorhome and Wrangler. This will require some measuring on your part so I've attached our help article to walk you through determining the correct rise/drop needed for your application.
