Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller for 2022 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
I am about to purchase a 2022 SR5V6 4x4 it does have the towing package and I need a brake controller for my travel trailer. Quick google search lead me to: Part Numbers: RED44FR,RED99FR I would like to know the following: 1. Is this all I need to set up the brake controller for the 2022 Tacoma? 2. Do you by chance know where the factory plug is located at under the dash. Thanks.

Yes, the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller, # RED44FR is confirmed to work with the 2022 Toyota Tacoma and all that is needed to install is the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers, # RED99FR.
First attach the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness # RED99FR directly into a port under your dash, for the 2022 Tacoma I believe this should be on the left near the parking brake, you may need to remove a kick panel to view; then plug the opposite end into the brake controller. It is that easy for connections. Next decide where you want the control knob installed and follow the included instructions. This can handle up to 4 brakes (2 axles) and will work with electric or electric-over-hydraulic trailer brakes, so it has some versatility.
