Tire Chain Recommendation for 33x12.50x20 Tires for Snow and Ice

Question:

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. I will be using a snow plow on it from time to time. I have aftermarket tires on it. 33x12.5x20. 1 Will I have clearance for tire chains on rears and front if needed? 2 What tire chains would you recommend? Lots of snow and ice

For your application I recommend checking out the Titan Chain Heavy Duty Alloy Snow Tire Chains w Cams # TC74FR because it uses square links and cams that give you a snug fit around your tire and great traction for snow and ice.

As far as clearance goes I don't really have a way to check that but if you run your hand on the back side of your tire and it comes into contact with anything then you definitely don't have the clearance and you'll want to use snow tires instead of chains. These chains are 0.281" (7mm) thick which is also a way for you to check and see if there is enough clearance.
