How To Tell If a 2018 Ram 3500 Has the Prep Package For Gooseneck Hitch Install

Question:

Hello, I purchased a 2018 ram 3500 diesel that is fully loaded. It has the 66inch bed and single rear wheels Im looking to add a gooseneck hitch and wanted to know how can I tell if it has been prepped and I only need to buy a ball and tie-down kits or a whole hitch? When I look at the bed there are obvious indentations where the ball would go in the center and the two tie downs towards the back on the left and the right. When I look underneath its hard to tell, but there is a big circle where the gooseneck hitch would be installed and the two tie down locations seem to be above the frame so I cannot see much. Any help is appreciated, Im looking to order from your company because Ive heard great things about products, price and service. I can take pictures of the bed and or underneath as needed. Thank you in advance,

The factory prep package on a 2018 Ram 3500 is pretty apparent so odds are you don't have this if you are unsure. If the indentations for the four outer pucks and center gooseneck hitch ball are present but there are no actual holes in the truck bed then you don't have the factory prep package. The factory prep package has the indentations but there are covers over each of the holes which you remove to install the hitch ball/safely chain loops or fifth wheel hitch. In other words, if you have removable covers then you have the factory prep package but if you just have indentations then you don't have the factory prep package. In which case, the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch part # BWGNRK1314 is the best gooseneck hitch option.

I have attached a photo of a truck without the factory prep package if there is still doubt.
