What is the Weight Capacity of the Thule Xsporter Pro Ladder Rack?
Question:
Is the 450 pound weight limit the static or dynamic weight limit?

Expert Reply:
I confirmed with my contact at Thule that the 450 pounds of the Thule Xsporter Pro Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Aluminum # TH500XTB is the dynamic weight rating. While Thule does not have a specific static weight rating for the Xsporter, my contact reassured me that you will have more than enough weight capacity to mount a static accessory like a roof-mounted tent as long as the tent's weight rating is abided by. For example, since the Thule Tepui Foothill # TH37HJ is rated for 400 pounds, you will be able to use that with the Xsporter.
