Can Hopkins Backup Sensor # HM60100VA be Activated from Trailer Wiring
Question:
I have a 2003 Chevy 2500HD. Can I wire the backup sensor to a trailer plug and plug it instead of splicing into reverse wires. I can just unplug when towing a trailer. If so what plug and any other needed accessories would I buy.

The reverse light circuit should be ran to the 7-way of your 2003 Chevy Silverado so yes you could use that as an activation circuit for the Hopkins BackUp Sensor System # HM60100VA. You wouldn't have to make any type of adapter either as you could just splice the wiring of the sensor to the wires that run to the back of the 7-way with the included quick splice connector. The center pin of the 7-way would carry the reverse light circuit.
