For the best overall traction for your 2016 Ram 2500, particularly on hills and to help with starting and stopping, I highly recommend chains from Pewag with square links. You didn't mention the tire size of your '16 Ram 2500, so I'll list out the fits based on possible sizes for your truck:
- 285/70-17 & 275/70-18 Tires: pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains # PWE3229S
- 245/70-17 Tires: pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains # PWE3227S
- 285/60-20 Tires: pewag All Square Snow Tire Chains # PWE3231S
The reason these are the best option for you is the thick square links, and what that does is allow them to bite into the snow better than other styles, like twist links, for example. The square links are also in a horizontal ladder pattern, so they will always have some part of the chain in contact with the road, giving you a better overall ability to start and stop.
The only other thing I do highly recommend are adjusters to ensure a snug fit at all times, the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster # TCMA2.
