What is the Weight Capacity Of The Hollywood Racks Bike Frame Adapter With The Thule EasyFold XT?
Question:
Please clarify the weight capacity of the Hollywood Rack Bike Frame Adapter. Does the weight capacity of 80 lbs refer to the weight of an electric bike in which the wheels are resting on a rack platform i.e. Thule EasyFold XT2? Thank you.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Hollywood Racks Bike Frame Adapter Bar # HRBA-PRO is capable of supporting a bike up to 35lbs from a hanging bike rack. On a platform style rack it can support a bike up to 80lbs as long as that does not exceed the weight capacity of that particular rack.
The Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack # TH903202 is only capable of supporting a bike up to 65lbs. This is the maximum weight of the bike and you must remember to include the 4lbs of the adapter bar to your bike.
The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY84FR is capable of supporting a bike up to 80lbs and that is why the adapter bar is rated for up to 80lbs with this particular rack.
