I have a great tire chain solution for you. Unfortunately, we do not have any USA-made tire chains or cables that are designed to fit your 2004 Ford F-150 4x4 with 255/70-17 tires.

However, we do fortunately carry chains that are superior in traction to almost all our other chains that fit your tires: the Konig Premium Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link - K-Summit XXL # TH02230K77. Not only are these chains Class S compatible (which is what your user's manual recommends), they come with included steel tensioners that takes away the headache of having to adjust the chains after each trip. The chains also come with ice-breaker studs and D-link reinforcements for increased traction. Also, since these chains do not install on the interior face of your tire, you do not have to worry about minimum interior wheel well clearance. This fact prevents the possibility of damage from any components in your wheel wells. These chains are made in Italy.

If you are considering off-road chains, we unfortunately do not carry any tire chains for your tire size that are off-road compatible.

Per Ford, the user's manual recommends to never drive with chains on the front tires of 4WD vehicles without also putting them on the rear tires. When considering tire chains, it is always important to consult with your vehicle's owner's manual to make sure you review any additional tips and guidelines.
