Is There a Brake Controller Plug On a 2007 Chevy Tahoe
Question:
Daughter has a 2007 Chevy Tahoe that has a factory installed 7 way receptacle on the rear. Im trying to find her a simple to use brake controller and am looking at the Draw-Tite I-Command Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional part number: 5535. Assuming this unit will work but am dismayed at there is no plug-n-play on this vehicle. From a prior install on another vehicle, I have a Tekonsha 3015-P install kit which has a plug-n-play plug and a manual wire connector. Can I use the Tekonsha 3015-P with the Drawtite unit? Hopefully you could tell me that there is a Plug-n-play unit for the vehicle which would solve all of this.

There is no brake controller plug on a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe but the wires are already run and under the dash, you simply need to make a few connections to install a brake controller like the Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN Trailer Brake Controller part # TK63VR. The BRAKE-EVN will also require the Brake Control Plug-In Harness part # 20127. I have attached a help article that goes over the connections.
