Hi, everybody. My name is Andy with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at Coghlan's eight foot long utility strap. Now a strap like this is a perfect solution to help you store your gear such as your camping gear or backpacking gear, or to secure it while it is in transit either to your camp site, or maybe you're wanting to secure things in your vehicle on a long distance road trip, or even secure items in your RV. Straps like this, in particular this eight foot long one, will go a long way in providing a lot of solutions either for storing your gear or transporting your gear. And you can be confident that it will be together securely with a strap like this.

Let's take a closer look at it, and we see that this does include a sewn on buckle. So that's going to make securing your items very easily. And just to kind of give you an idea of how this buckle works, you just will take one end of this strap and run it through the top of the middle of the buckle there. And then once you have enough length through, then you would just run it down the front of the buckle. And then this strap will travel up and down through this buckle to provide very ease of use in securing or loosening your gear.

Now this is, again, this is an eight foot long strap. So this strap is probably gonna be too long for using it on something like this thermal blanket from Coghlan. But I just kind of wanted to give you an idea of how this works. So I've got my loop here with this eight foot long strap, and I'm gonna run Coghlan's thermal blanket through the loop and just kind of tighten this up. And I just keep this buckle slightly elevated, and that's gonna allow me to easily pull this strap through, and now we are nice and secure.

And speaking of this strap, this webbing is made out of polypropylene. So it's gonna be sturdy for you. And it is about, yeah, it is an inch in width on the strap itself. Let me move my finger there so you can see. And what's nice about this is if you want to cut some of this strap, you can easily do that.

And because it's polypropylene, you can then use like a match or a lighter to seal where you cut. So you don't have to worry about fraying or coming undone. So if you purchase this eight foot long strap and you think it's too long, once you're sure of the length that you need snip it and seal it, and you are good to go. Then when you are ready to release this, again, you just slightly lift on that buckle and it'll come loose and then you can remove your item. Now, again, this is eight foot long.
