For your 2022 Volkswagen Atlas, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C24ER. Apart from providing you with 900 pounds of maximum tongue weight capacity and 6,000 pounds of maximum towing capacity, the Curt hitch comes with a gloss outer coating over the powder base coat that gives you superior rust and corrosion resistance. Also, the hitch is assembled here in the U.S.A. It is important to note that this hitch does not fit Cross-Sport models. We unfortunately do not currently have a hitch that will fit the Cross-Sport model.

If you plan on towing on your vehicle, I recommend a ball mount/hitch ball like the ones included in the Curt Towing Starter Kit # C45534. This kit also comes with a hitch cover and locking hitch pin. If you need a wiring harness, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118754. With the T-One, you will have brake light, turn signal, and running light functions.
